Local Ecumenism

Regional meetings of County and Denominational Ecumenical Officers

The first paragraph for each region describes meetings of CEOs. The second paragraph describes meetings of CEOs with DEOs across the region. (The existence of a CEO/DEO team within each each Intermediate Body (IB) is assumed.)

North East Christian Churches Together

The IB in the NE covers the whole of the region. There is no CEO but a team of DEOs who are all part-time on the job to varying degrees. They meet as a team regularly to cover both CEO work and DEO work. This model works very well in the North East but has not transferred well to other parts of the country. Jenny Bond can explain.

In the NE and Yorkshire (six IBs) there is an annual meeting open to all CEOs and DEOs which CTE's Field Officer (N&M) attends as do up to two NEOs. The Darlington meeting has its own web page.
