Remembering, reflecting and responding

The bi-centenary of the abolition of the slave trade act gives opportunity to remember what took place and who bears responsibility. We reflect that we all have some responsibility for the ongoing legacies in terms of racism, the political and economic nature of certain parts of the world. We are led to respond by acting against modern versions of slavery, thus honouring those who worked to get the act passed in 1807.
