Word of God, Human Face

Word of God, human face,

We arrive at this place, this time,

Our paths merging,

To join in praise to you.

You spoke your word.

Spoke creation into being,

Spoke love into life,

Spoke chaos into peace.

You said, "I am for you".

You became your word,

Earth's fond guest,

Displayed a human face,

Became one with humankind,

You said, "I am for you".

You invite us to embody your word,

Speak our lives into love,

Speak our individualism into community,

Speak our complacency into action,

We say, "We, are for you".
