St Chad's Sanctuary, Birmingham
St. Chad’s Sanctuary provides welcome, friendship and practical support for asylum seekers and refugees in need. Established in 2010, the project has a large team of dedicated volunteers, and some sessional staff, and supports large numbers of asylum seekers and refugees daily from its base in Central Birmingham.
We require a dedicated and enthusiastic Project Manager to manage and develop this busy project. Successful candidates will therefore have experience of managing services, staff and volunteers in a community setting; sourcing, securing and reporting on funding; and an understanding of the issues that asylum seekers and refugees face. An excellent communicator and team player, you will also be able to work independently on your own initiative. You will be committed to our Christian ethos of welcoming the stranger.
