Mission Director, Church of Scotland Presbytery of Fife
Following agreement in May 2020, the three existing Presbyteries in Fife, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and St. Andrews are to form the new Presbytery of Fife.
A Transition Group appointed by the current Presbyteries has been working to achieve the smooth and effective creation of the new Presbytery when it formally comes into operation on 1 January 2021. As part of that process, the key staffing structure has now been agreed and funding secured from the Church at national level. That structure will comprise a full-time Presbytery Clerk, a full-time Mission Director and the equivalent of a full-time Administrator.
The Position of Mission Director
The central strategic focus of the new Presbytery is mission and the appointment of the Mission Director is critical to the achievement of that vision. The purpose of the post is to encourage and support a strong mission focus within the Presbytery and its congregations. We are looking for someone therefore, with a passion for church growth and development, who has knowledge of modern mission approaches and who can inspire, motivate and support innovative development across the new Presbytery.
£43,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
The closing date for applications by email is 30 October 2020.
