A feast of Advent and Christmas Resources
Most of us are expecting an unusual Christmas this year...
As we all prepare ourselves for the reality that we will not be celebrating in our Churches with large numbers of visitors, the County Ecumenical Development Officers of Churches Together in Shire & Soke*, Stuart Jenkins and Caroline Hutchings, have collated a wide variety of excellent resources which we're delighted to share...
Download the PDF (1.9 Mb) Caroline and Stuart have put together. It includes

Saltmine Theatre – Hark! A Nativity Story!
From this feast of options, CTE's Principal Officer for Evangelism and Mission, Rev Dr Ben Aldous, and picked out the Tearfund Advent journey
. Ben says "Advent is often part of the Christian tradition that is lost on most people. Tearfund have a great resource. Join them on their Advent journey as they unwrap some hope this Christmas Christ’s birth: the perfect present to us.
Because of it, our present has hope.
Because of him, our present to the world is hope."
In addition to Stuart and Caroline's document, our colleagues at CTBI have also put together a list of the Advent and Christmas resources.
Carols with your neighbours
Why not invite your neighbours to a doorstep carol service? We're pleased to share details of two projects which have been set up to help you plan this. And they're inviting you to sing with them. Read more about Carols on the Doorstep and Carols from north Birmingham. Of course, please keep everyone safe and make sure you observe the current social distancing regulations when you gather and sing.
