COVID-19 Vaccine Myths and Facts
Thursday 18 February 2021, 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm
Join CTE for the much-anticipated webinar on the COVID-19 vaccine myths and facts. Contributions from leaders in both medicine and church will address the concerns that you may have about taking the vaccine.
This webinar will discuss concerns about the efficacy of the vaccines (do they work?) and their safety. Questions about ethics and faith will be discussed from a Christian perspective, and some of the myths debunked.
There will be contributions from:
Bishop Karowei Dorgu, Bishop of Woolwich
Bishop Joe Aldred, Church of God of Prophecy and former CTE staff
Dr Bola Owolabi, Director Health Inequalities NHS England & NHS Improvement
The session will be chaired by Rosemarie Davidson-Gotobed
Rosemarie is the National Minority Ethnic Vocations Officer for the Church of England and founder of the annual Sam Sharpe Lectures. She has worked in racial justice and racism awareness for the past 30 years, serving as the first Racial Justice Co-ordinator for the London Baptist Association, Baptist Union Council and the Racial Justice Task Group and a freelance cross-cultural understanding facilitator. She lives and worships in South Norwood, London.
There will also be space in the programme to put questions via chat box, in order to coordinate them and avoid repetition.
