Preparing for 'the new normal'

The United Reformed Church, one of CTE's Member Churches, has produced a helpful guidance document encouraging churches to consider key questions for when the lockdown starts to ease, including: what must resume, what shouldn't resume, and what might we do differently? Access the resource Ready for the New "Normal" on the URC website.

Mental Health resources

A collation of resources from external sources that have been recommended by clinicians can be downloaded hereWhile each has been briefly reviewed, the content and providers have not been vetted so please use your professional judgment when accessing and recommending these.

Bible study resource: exploring violence against women

Given the rise in domestic violence cases reported during lockdown, you may be interested in using the set of six Bible Studies exploring the issue of violence against women, which CTE published in 2004. The six Bible Studies in this booklet follow the "journey" which a woman experiencing violence may make, from recognising her situation, through despair and hopelessness, to a situation where she can begin to speak out and take action, and finally to look for change and a new beginning.

Theological resources

As countries continue to shut down and find coping mechanisms, both for public health services and people’s rhythm of life, there are all sorts of theological questions being asked. A range of theological reflections have been collated by Rev Ben Aldous, our Principal Officer for Mission and Evangelism.

Prayer resources

We are offering our prayers for this ongoing situation, along with Christians all over our nation and our world at this time. Please visit our Prayer resources page to access a range of prayer resources from various churches.
